ECU Remap Options & Specialist Tuning Features
Boostcore offers a range of ECU software options depending on your vehicle, ECU type, intended use and legal requirements. Availability varies by vehicle and all options are confirmed after checking your vehicle details.
Available ECU Software Options
Every vehicle and ECU is different, so available options depend on software access, ECU type, emissions equipment, tuning tools and vehicle condition. Boostcore can advise what is available and suitable after checking your vehicle details.
DTC Code Solutions
Diagnostic Trouble Code solutions may be available for specific fault codes where suitable. This is normally used where a known fault, modification or specialist use case requires ECU software adjustment. Diagnostics should always be carried out first.
DPF Solutions
DPF-related software and diagnostic solutions may be available depending on the vehicle and intended use. For road vehicles, Boostcore focuses on diagnostics, fault finding, cleaning and repair-focused solutions to help keep vehicles compliant.
EGR Solutions
EGR-related diagnostic and software solutions may be available depending on vehicle type and use case. Boostcore can help diagnose EGR faults, limp mode, poor running and warning lights before advising the correct route.
Launch Control
Launch control may be available on selected vehicles and ECUs. This feature is usually intended for performance, track or motorsport use and availability depends on the vehicle's ECU, gearbox and software support.
Speed Limiter Adjustment
Speed limiter adjustment may be available on selected vehicles where legally appropriate, such as certain commercial, export, private land or specialist use cases. Customers are responsible for ensuring any changes comply with road laws and insurance requirements.
Rev Limiter Adjustment
Rev limiter adjustment may be available on selected petrol and diesel vehicles depending on ECU support and engine suitability. This should only be used where safe and appropriate for the vehicle's mechanical condition.
Pops & Bangs
Pops and bangs calibration may be available for selected petrol vehicles. This is generally intended for motorsport or off-road use only and may not be suitable for road vehicles, catalytic converters, exhaust systems or warranty requirements.
Popcorn Limiter
Popcorn limiter calibration may be available on selected diesel vehicles for motorsport or off-road use only. Suitability depends on ECU type, engine condition and intended use.
AdBlue Solutions
AdBlue-related diagnostics and software solutions may be available depending on vehicle type and use case. For road vehicles, customers must ensure the vehicle remains emissions compliant, MOT compliant and legal for public road use.
Lambda / O2 Sensor Solutions
Lambda or O2 sensor-related solutions may be available on selected vehicles where suitable. Diagnostics should be carried out first to confirm whether the issue is sensor, wiring, exhaust, catalyst, fuelling or software related.
Stage 1 ECU Remap
A Stage 1 remap is a software-only tune for standard vehicles, designed to improve power, torque, throttle response and drivability without requiring hardware upgrades.
Economy Remap
Economy remapping can improve torque delivery and efficiency for high-mileage drivers, motorway users, vans and commercial vehicles. Results vary depending on driving style and vehicle condition.
Return To Stock / Factory Software Reflash
Return To Stock software reflashing is available for selected vehicles where factory software is available. This is useful for dealers, garages and traders who have taken in tuned vehicles and want them returned to standard before resale.
Important: Legal & Compliance Information
Some ECU software options may be intended for off-road, motorsport, export or competition use only and may not be legal for use on public roads in the UK. Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle remains road legal, insured, MOT compliant and emissions compliant after any software changes. Boostcore will advise where possible, but final responsibility for vehicle use remains with the customer.
If you are unsure whether a particular option is suitable for your vehicle or for your intended use, please ask us before booking. We will always explain the road-use implications of any software change we make.
